Terms of Use
Feather on the web · Last updated: October 1, 2026
Overview
These terms cover the website feather.studiomaxredecker.com and the image tool on it (“Feather on the web”), made by Studio Max Redecker. By using the site you agree to them. The Mac app has its own terms: Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store.
What you may do
You may use Feather on the web free of charge, for as many files as you like, for personal and for commercial work. The files you make smaller are yours; using Feather gives us no rights to them.
Your files
Your files are processed in your browser, on your own device. They are not uploaded, and we never receive, read or store them. See the Privacy Policy.
Ownership
The website, its design and text, its code and the Feather engine are the property of Studio Max Redecker and are protected by copyright. They are not open source. All rights that these terms do not grant are reserved.
The engine contains open-source libraries made by others. Those remain under their own licences, listed on the open-source licences page, and nothing in these terms limits the rights those licences give you.
What you may not do
Without our written permission you may not:
- copy, mirror, host or redistribute the website, its code or the Feather engine, in whole or in part;
- offer the website or the engine as, or as part of, another website, app, service or product, whether paid or free;
- show the website inside another website (framing), or load its code or engine from another website;
- remove, alter or work around the technical measures that tie the engine to this website, or the notices and marks that say whose it is;
- decompile or reverse engineer the engine, except where the law gives you that right and it cannot be excluded.
Linking to the site, writing about it and showing screenshots of it are of course fine.
Names
“Feather”, the feather icon and “Studio Max Redecker” may not be used in a way that suggests your product or service is ours or is endorsed by us.
No warranty
Feather on the web is provided as it is, free of charge. We take care that it works well, but we do not promise that it is free of faults or always available. Keep your original files: Feather gives you a copy and never changes the original.
Liability
As far as the law allows, Studio Max Redecker is not liable for damage that follows from using Feather on the web, or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes show in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Spain, where Studio Max Redecker is established. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country you live in stay yours.
